Since 1975, Tina Barney (*1945) has been producing large-scale photographs of family and friends. Her meticulous tableaux chronicle the complexity of interpersonal relationships. In Players, Tina Barney expands her subject matter to include fashion, performers, and actors, as well as her own circle of friends. Emboldened by the cacophony when photographing on stage, Barney has embraced a more casual aesthetic that is visually exhilarating. Editor and designer Chip Kidd has translated this excitement to the pages of this new book. And Michael Stipe has contributed his poetic vertigo.

“We Are Cypriots” is a chronicle that takes us behind the scenes sharing personal histories that official histories often ignore.
Between 2015 and 2018, during the reunification talks and after they failed, the author Lisa Fuhr visited Cypriots from both communities and photographed them in their surroundings. These intimate photographs and accompanying in-depth conversations shed light on life in Cyprus today.
Travellers, Cypriots living abroad, foreigners who have chosen to settle there, and last but not least, the people of Cyprus itself just might discover in these pages something they did not expect.
This book, furthermore, is intended as a contribution to the current European-wide discussion on national identity, separatism, nationalism or unification, and reconciliation.
In his comprehensive preface, the Berlin journalist, Klaus Hillenbrand, traces the historical and contemporary, as well as the social and political developments that have so profoundly shaped this island and Cypriots today.
Photo Exhibition and Book Launch at Goethe-Institut Nicosia, Cyprus, in the buffer zone next to Ledra Palace. Opening Wednesday 15 May 2019. Duration of the exhibition until 11 June 2019

mehrfarbiger Risodruck, gedruckt bei Department of Volxvergnuegen.
Ch!ps is an artist book created by Infinite Livez using the riso printing process. Made in conjunction with department of volxvergnuegen (Munich) it continues to chronicle his investigation into automatic and digital art. This investigation is in every way the perfect compliment to his music but rather than a blend of sonic free association we see depictions of other worldly chimeras and mutations staged in landscapes of ambiguity and layered distortion.

Erschienen zur Ausstellung bei der FOR-SITE Foundation, San Francisco 27.09.2014-26.04.2015.
Internationally renowned Chinese artist and activist Ai Weiwei is one of contemporary art's most newsworthy figures, noted for both his groundbreaking work and his outspoken stance on human rights, which ultimately resulted in his controversial 2011 detainment. In an astonishing new large-scale project, he turns his attention to Alcatraz—a place he could not visit because he was not permitted to leave China, but that stands as a world-famous symbol of both incarceration and protest. This book showcases the major exhibition presented by FOR-SITE Foundation of site-specific, multimedia installations and sculptures Ai Weiwei create for the island, on view from the fall of 2014 through the spring of 2015. Featuring beautiful photographs and thought-provoking text, At Large is the essential document of this remarkable happening from one of today's most celebrated artists.
